an evaluation of our imperfect interior environments through flora

A project inspired by a thought I had one day as I was creating in the architecture building at the University of Houston. The building is wonderfully constructed in that students from different classes and years can easily mingle, share ideas, and help each other, but there is very little natural light, floor after floor lit by seemingly endless rows of lights. To a plant, an organism dependent on light, this is an unlivable darkness despite the profuse amount of artificial light. To humans too, organisms whose bodies require exposure to sunlight, this is an environment whose darkness reeks in the unseen while sunlight continues to beckon is short, spaced conversations.
